Permit-Ready Letter
Permit-Ready Letters confirm that all necessary clearances and sign-offs have been obtained for permit applications. This optional service may be requested to confirm permit readiness when the permit is ready for issuance but is awaiting payment of fees and the completion of required administrative processes.
A bank, financial institution, or grantor organization may require a Permit-Ready Letter before releasing funds to pay permit issuance fees. In these cases, the Permit-Ready Letter demonstrates permit readiness to the entity funding the project.
A Permit Ready Letter may be requested for Building Permits, Grading Permits, and Right-of-Way Permits.
A Permit Ready Letter should only be requested when a project has obtained all reviewer sign-offs and the only remaining tasks are fee payment and submission of administrative documents and forms. The applicable Accela workflow status for a project ready to be issued is either “Reviews Complete,” "Issuance Checklist Requested," "Issuance Checklist Submitted," or “Approved Upon Final Payment.”
It is not appropriate to request a Permit-Ready Letter for projects that are still “In Review" or the “Recheck Required” workflow status. If a Permit-Ready Letter is requested when a project is still in these workflow statuses, the letter will state that the project is not permit-ready.
